De Regering van Suriname (ROS) voert momenteel een nieuw project uit onder de titel “Arbeidsmarkt­afstemming met Nieuwe Sectoren” in het hele land.

Het belangrijkste doel van dit project, dat wordt gefinancierd door de Inter-Amerikaanse Ontwikkelingsbank (IDB), is het vergroten van de inzetbaarheid

van alle werkzoekenden. Dit gebeurt door de uitvoering van samenhangende en strategische activiteiten, zoals Training for Employment (TFE), bemiddelingsdiensten voor werkgelegenheid, technologische verbeteringen en capaciteitsversterking, onder andere.

Het Ministerie van Volksgezondheid, Welzijn en Arbeid is de uitvoerende instantie (Program Executing Agency, PEA) van dit vijfjarig nationaal programma en

wil daarom zijn capaciteit versterken om het programma effectief uit te voeren. Het ministerie heeft hiervoor een Program Implementation Unit (PIU) opgezet, die verantwoordelijk is voor de algehele uitvoering van het programma. Daarom is het ministerie momenteel op zoek naar gekwalificeerde en ervaren consultants voor de volgende functies binnen het
PIU-team:

  • Procurement Officer (PO) – voltijd consultancy

  • Environmental and Social (E&S) Officer – voltijd consultancy

Deze consultancyfuncties staan open voor Surinaamse staatsburgers en legale ingezetenen van Suriname die afkomstig zijn uit de 48 lidstaten van de IDB.

The Government of Suriname (GOS) is currently implementing a new project titled “Labor Market Alignment with New Industries” across the country.

The main objective of

this project, which is being financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is to increase employability of all job seekers through the implementation of multi-connected and strategic activities such as Training For Employment (TFE), mediation services for employment opportunities, technological improvements, and capacity strengthening among others.

The Ministry of Health, Welfare,

and Labor is the Program Executing Agency (PEA) of this 5 years national program and therefore seeks to increase its capacity to effectively implement the program. The Ministry has already established the Program Implementation Unit (PIU) that is responsible for the overall implementation of the program. Therefore, the Ministry is
currently seeking qualified and experienced consultants for the following positions to join the PIU team.

  1. Procurement Officer (PO): Within the PIU – Full Time Consultancy
  • Environmental and Social (E&S) Officer: Within the PIU – Full Time Consultancy

These consultancies are open to  Suriname nationals and  legal residents of Suriname who are citizens of the

IDB 48 member countries.
